Habitat:
Prefers dark, dry, and undisturbed indoor areas such as closets, basements, and storage boxes. Rare but occasionally transported into Virginia through moving or shipping. Not commonly established statewide.
Threats & Dangers:
Bites can cause tissue damage and slow-healing wounds. Most bites occur when the spider is trapped against skin. Serious reactions are uncommon but possible.
