Habitat:
Norway rats live at ground level in basements, crawl spaces, burrows, and sewer systems. They stay close to food and water sources around buildings. Often found near dumpsters and foundations.
Threats & Dangers:
They spread disease through droppings, urine, and parasites. Gnawing damages wires, insulation, and structures. Can increase fire and health risks.
Control Measures:
Professional trapping and baiting are essential. Sealing entry points and improving sanitation prevents reinfestation. Ongoing monitoring is critical.
