Habitat:
Found in mountainous and heavily wooded regions of Virginia. Prefers rocky outcrops and forested slopes. Rare in dense residential areas.

Threats & Dangers:
Highly venomous and potentially life-threatening if bitten. Generally avoids humans but defends itself if threatened. Protected in parts of Virginia.

Control Measures:
Do not disturb or attempt removal. Professional wildlife control and habitat management are recommended. Public safety education is essential.
